Sealing off your crawlspace
Does your home have an exposed crawlspace? Did you know that somewhere between 50-70 percent of the air you breathe in your home comes from the crawlspace? Crawl Space Encapsulation
The best solution to mitigate radon from a house with a crawlspace is to combine an Active Soil Depressurization system with a radon proof vapor barrier that is stretched across the floors, walls and any support pillars. Once the crawl space has been fully encapsulated, the ASD system will draw air from beneath the vapor barrier and will emit the radon containing air out of your house.
As an added benefit, the vapor barrier + ASD system will significantly reduce any other soil gasses, moisture or odors that are emitted from the soil beneath your home!
